THE NUMBER OF OOCYTES IN OVARIAN AUTOGRAFTS

S. H. GREEN

The numbers of oocytes in ovarian autografts placed in normal saline have been compared with those in autografts placed in 15% glycerol in normal saline, eighty-eight mature rats being used in two sets of experiments. In both series the oocytes were very much reduced in number, but statistical analysis failed to reveal any significant differences. The interval before oestrous cycles reappeared was, however, significantly different.
