The scope of the journal

Journal of Endocrinology publishes original molecular, biochemical and physiological studies concerned with the structure and function of the endocrine and endocrine-related systems. Papers are primarily considered if they provide new substantial and mechanistic advances in the science of endocrinology. Clinical studies are normally more appropriate for a clinical journal and we do not publish clinical case reports.

Types of papers

Original research papers, rapid communications, short reviews and commentaries are considered. The journal will also consider the submission of research on novel/hypothetical topics.

Online submission

Submit online. Online submission and peer review can help to achieve more rapid publication than the paper-based system and means that your paper can be included in the accepted preprint service.

If you are unable to submit online, please joe{at}endocrinology.org for further information.

There is no charge for submitting papers nor will there be any subsequent page charges.

Authors are welcome to provide names of potential referees. However, the journal reserves the right to decide whether or not to use them for peer-review.

Please prepare the content of your article as described in the General instructions.
